The KitchenAid 11lb Glass surface kitchen scale features an attractive, stainless steel accent trim and an oversized knob to set units of measurement. This scale is designed to match many kitchen decors, as the glass surface is naturally stain and odor-free, and it is tempered for safety. The large 1.0" backlit readout ensures easy-to-read measurements. The add and weigh Tare function helps to zero out weights of containers before adding food or weighing multiple ingredients together, and the scale conveniently converts both dry and liquid measurements.

Regarding the scale's capacity, it can handle dry ingredients up to 11 LB x 0.1 Oz and 5000 grams x 1 gram, as well as liquid ingredients up to 5000 millilitres x 1 millilitre and 176 FL Oz x 0.1 FL Oz.

The unique feature of this scale is its rotating knob design, inspired by KitchenAid countertop electric ovens. Users can twist the knob to set the units of measurement and push it to Tare or power the scale on/off.

The Tare function allows users to weigh all ingredients into one container by zeroing out the weights in-between additions. This feature also works to zero the weight of any container before adding food.

The scale is powered by three (3) AAA batteries, which are included. It will automatically shut off after 3 minutes of no change in weight on the platform. For easy cleaning, the scale should be hand-washed only; it should not be immersed in water or put in the dishwasher. For best results, users should wipe the scale with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
